Information Ministry Secretary Mahbuba Farzana has instructed information officers to explain the referendum questions to the people in simple language. She said that making people understand the issue of yes-no voting in the next election is a big challenge. Therefore, the referendum questions must first be understood by the information officers.
She said these things at a view-exchange meeting with public relations officers and regional information officers of various ministries on the campaign activities for the National Assembly elections at the Secretariat on Thursday (December 11) morning.
The information secretary said that the government is committed to holding the next National Assembly elections in a fair, acceptable and transparent manner. The government must provide all-out cooperation in this regard.
She also said that the Ministry of Culture will prepare the content for the elections and referendum, and the Ministry of Information will do the publicity work.
At this time, she told the information officers that the people must be assured that this time the elections are being held with transparency. We must confront misinformation and rumors and present real information.
He also said that the government has taken the initiative to provide election-related training to journalists in 30 districts.
