Expatriates prefer to send money to Islamic banks. However, the fascist Hasina government chose these Islamic banks to loot, said Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Advisor Asif Nazrul. He made this comment at a program organized at Osmani Auditorium on the occasion of International Migrants Day this morning.
Asif Nazrul said that the strongest banks in Bangladesh were Islamic banks. These banks were targeted and weakened. However, he also said that various steps have been taken to strengthen these banks now.
He said that the remittance flow has increased by 26 percent this year compared to last year. The government is working to reduce immigration costs.
Stating that embassies are not working properly, the Expatriate Welfare Advisor said that people are being harassed in foreign embassies, which is the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
