Finance and Commerce Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed said that there will be no shortage of fertilizers and gas in the country. He said these things after the meeting of the Government Procurement Committee in the Cabinet Room at the Secretariat yesterday.
Finance and trade adviser said, there will be no shortage of fertilizers in the country. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) won’t be a problem either. We are keeping an eye on that. It is to be noted that the government procurement advisory committee has approved a total of 6 purchase proposals including 2 cargoes of LNG from the spot market to meet the country’s energy needs and 130,000 tons of fertilizer imports from different countries under state contracts. The total cost will be Tk 1 thousand 963 crore 48 lakh 68 thousand 960.
