De Chut Vromon Songha, one of the country's longstanding travel organizations, recently organized its Tree Plantation Program 2026 in Netrokona district.
The program was implemented in two phases. The first phase took place at Madrasatul Jami'a Faizul Abrar in Akashree village of Madan upazila, while the second phase was held at Fatema Amir Ali Darul Uloom Madrasa in Pachkaunia village of Netrokona Sadar upazila.
During the initiative, coconut saplings along with various fruit-bearing trees were planted on the campuses of the two madrasas.
Among those present were Mufti Nazrul Islam, Muhtamim of Jami'a Faizul Abrar and Khatib of the historic Nawabbari Jame Mosque in Islampur, Dhaka; Maulana Khalid Jamil Rahmani, Muhtamim of Fatema Amir Ali Darul Uloom Madrasa; Maulana Tofayel Hasan, as well as teachers and students of the institutions.
Representatives of De Chut Vromon Songha, including Chief Organizer Muhammad Javed Hakim, Advocate Nazmul Hossain Bibek, Yasir Yusha, Sanaullah, and local dignitaries also attended the events.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Organizer Muhammad Javed Hakim expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the successful implementation of the Tree Plantation Program 2026 and requested prayers from the respected religious scholars. He voiced optimism for a greener future, saying, “Bangladesh will flourish in greenery.”
Hakim also said that, alongside promoting travel, the organization aims to continue the tree plantation initiative annually with the support of its active members. He further encouraged other social organizations engaged in plantation drives to plant larger saplings in suitable environments to ensure their long-term survival and growth.
