The Director General of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, has extended financial support to the family of a sub-district Ansar-VDP officer who died in a road accident while performing his professional duties.
Mohammad Alauddin, Ansar and VDP officer of Mirsharai Upazila in Chattogram, was killed in a tragic road accident on July 5, 2026.
On Thursday morning, the Director General handed over a cheque for Tk 258,074 to Alauddin’s wife, Farzana Yasmin Polly, at the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force headquarters. The assistance, provided through the force’s Welfare Branch, will be used to repay Alauddin’s outstanding loan with the Ansar-VDP Development Bank.
Immediately after his death, the force had provided Tk 75,000 to cover burial and ambulance expenses.
The deceased officer’s father and Director of the Welfare Branch, Enamul Khan, was also present during the cheque handover.
The Director General expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and assured them that all benefits due under the applicable rules would be provided as quickly as possible. He also pledged continued support from the force to the family in the future.
