A coordination meeting on implementing an Online, Real-Time Core Banking Solution at Ansar-VDP Development Bank was held at the headquarters of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party on Monday (August 17).
The meeting was chaired by Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party and Chairman of Ansar-VDP Development Bank.
Representatives of Leeds Corporation and the bank’s BRD team discussed the implementation of digital banking services, technical infrastructure and strategic integration to ensure the rapid rollout of the core banking system.
The meeting also discussed introducing Digital KYC to make customer onboarding faster and easier, along with key features of mobile banking and internet banking platforms.
Participants agreed to integrate utility payment services, including electricity and gas bills and mobile recharge, into the bank’s digital platforms.
The meeting also reviewed the framework for API integration to ensure fast, secure and seamless data exchange among various digital services.
Leeds Corporation informed the meeting that it would submit its technical proposal and proposed implementation plan to the BRD team as soon as possible.
Managing Director of Ansar-VDP Development Bank Mir Mofazzal Hossain, along with officials from Leeds Corporation and the BRD team, attended the meeting.
Officials said the initiative will help make the bank’s operations more modern, technology-driven and customer-friendly while paving the way for faster and more secure digital banking services.
