On July 4 (Saturday), the last day of the 3-day training, workshop, congratulatory gathering jointly organized by Cox's Bazar District Press Club and Daily Industry for the participation of journalists from all over the country, and the award and certificate distribution ceremony for three people who passed the trainee's merit test was attended by international media personality, prominent thinker and researcher Dr. Salimullah Khan as the chief guest.
Dr. Salimullah Khan, an instructor of Bangladesh Police Staff College and editor of Daily Industry, was present. Enayet Karim and Assistant Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism of Chittagong University Dr. Delwar Hossain were present on the second day. Also present were Daily Edin Editor and former President of Dhaka Journalists Union Khandaker Mozammad Haque, Daily Bangladesh Editor Saidur Rahman Shahid and former Principal of Cox's Bazar City College Kye Thing Aung and General Secretary of Hotel Motel Zone, Tourism Affairs Secretary of Cox's Bazar District Press Club, and Editor of Daily Kaler Samaj Mukim Khan. They delivered educational speeches to the trainees at the event.
In the presence of distinguished guests, the three-day training, workshop, gathering, crest presentation to three selected trainees and certificate distribution ceremony to the participants was held at the WASH Training Center in Cox's Bazar under the chairmanship of the President of the District Press Club and Editor of the Daily Rupali Saikat, freedom fighter Fazlul Quader Chowdhury, moderated by General Secretary HM Faridul Alam Shaheen and melodious recitation by Advisor Hafez Sohel.
During this, the District President of the Environmental Movement Bapa, Zafar Alam Didar, the trainee Daily Industry's Chittagong Staff Correspondent Representative Md. Iftekhar Uddin and the President of the Cox's Bazar branch of the National Journalist Association, Khorshed Alam, exchanged views.
In the workshop and the gathering, the trainees, other present trainers and guests were impressed by the educational and informative discussion of the chief guest Dr. Salimullah Khan. He urged the journalists to always be happy for the country and the world. Later, he first presented the certificate to Md. Iftekhar Uddin, a senior journalist of Daily Industry who came from Chittagong.
Meanwhile, the trainers and discussants emphasized various important aspects of modern journalism to the news workers. They taught the techniques of effective news presentation on news images, videos, use of artificial intelligence (AI), fact-checking and multimedia platforms.
