Bangladesh Ansar members prevented an attempted looting of railway property after the *Narayanganj Express* derailed near Kamalapur Railway Station early Monday.
The train reportedly derailed at around 12:10am near the Kamalapur security outpost. Soon after the incident, a crowd gathered at the scene, and a group of miscreants allegedly attempted to loot goods from the derailed train.
A patrol team of the **Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar East Zone**, led by PC Md. Abdul Hannan of the Kamalapur Railway Security Outpost under Motijheel Police Station, moved swiftly to control the situation.
The Ansar members successfully prevented the looting, secured the railway property and helped maintain overall security at the accident site.
The authorities concerned expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Ansar personnel for their prompt and responsible response during the critical situation.
The incident was cited as another example of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force’s commitment, professionalism and vigilance in protecting public and private property and ensuring the safety of people at key installations across the country.
