200 illegal residential stove gas connections have been disconnected in Gazipur. During this, a mobile court has fined 30 thousand taka to 3 people for illegal gas connections. These connections were disconnected during a drive to disconnect illegal gas connections in Bhogra, Kalmeshwar and Malekker Bari areas of Gazipur metropolis.
Titas Gas Gazipur Regional Office Managing Engineer Mostafa Mahbub said that Titas Gas authorities, with the cooperation of the district administration, conducted a drive in Bhogra, Kalmeshwar and Malekker Bari areas of Gazipur metropolis to disconnect illegal gas connections. During this, various factories and residential areas were inspected.
During the drive, the mobile court fined 2 people 10 thousand taka for taking illegal connections from a previously disconnected riser in Kalmeshwar area of Board Bazar, a total of 20 thousand taka.
On the other hand, a residential customer was fined 10 thousand taka for using gas in an additional stove in Malek's house area. During the operation, about 400 feet of pipeline were removed and 200 two-way stoves were disconnected.
The mobile court was conducted by Gazipur District Administration Executive Magistrate Md. Tashriful Islam. Senior officials of Titas Gas Office were present at the time.
