Walton Plaza has introduced an emergency cash withdrawal facility for customers holding its Instalment Customer Protection Card, allowing them to withdraw an amount equivalent to one instalment when facing urgent financial needs.
The facility, which came into effect on October 1, is available at any Walton Plaza outlet across the country, regardless of where customers originally purchased their products.
Customers can visit their nearest outlet to access the service without having to return to the outlet where they made their purchase, Walton Plaza authorities said.
The company said the initiative aims to provide additional financial security to instalment customers and support them during difficult times.
Under Walton Plaza's Instalment Customer and Family Protection Policy, the family of a cardholder who dies while instalments are ongoing receives financial assistance ranging from Tk 50,000 to Tk 300,000, depending on the value of the purchased product.
If a member of the customer's family dies, the assistance ranges from Tk 25,000 to Tk 150,000. In the event of the cardholder's death, the remaining instalments on the purchased product are also waived.
The company also arranges employment opportunities for eligible family members of deceased customers.
Protection cardholders enjoy additional benefits in healthcare, education, travel, shopping and entertainment. Walton Plaza has partnerships with more than 5,000 organisations across all eight divisions to provide these facilities.
The partner organisations include hospitals, diagnostic centres, educational institutions, hotels, restaurants, resorts, amusement parks, airlines and retailers of fashion and daily necessities.
Walton Plaza also operates telemedicine and Happiness and Healthcare programmes for customers and their families. Its field-level officials assist customers with hospital admissions, transportation, blood arrangements and medical consultations.
