Martyred President Ziaur Rahman established Shishu Park in Dhaka's Shahbagh, and later on, a new bud competition for children was held on Bangladesh Television from this thought. The previous government had stopped all kinds of programs and all kinds of grants for children and had eliminated all manpower recruitment only because the institution was created by Ziaur Rahman.
