The closing ceremony of a five-day “Entrepreneurship Development” training program, jointly
organized by the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) through its
training wing, the BSCIC Training Institute (BTI), and the Faculty of Business Studies, Jashore
University of Science and Technology (JUST), was held successfully.
The program officially concluded on 24 June 2026 (Wednesday) at Room No. 106 of the Sir
Jagadish Chandra Bose Academic Building of the university.
The closing ceremony was graced by Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of
Business Studies, as the Chief Guest. The session was presided over by Mr. Md. Tanzim Hossain,
Associate Faculty Member of the BSCIC Training Institute and Course Director of the training
program. Among others present were Professor Md. Akhtaruzzaman of the Department of
Marketing and Md. Belal Hossain, Lecturer of the same department.
The training program was coordinated by Miftahul Jannat Ripa, Assistant Faculty Member of BTI,
and Md. Rafiqul Islam.
Conducted from 20 to 24 June 2026, the training covered a wide range of topics, including
business plan development, entrepreneurship management, marketing strategies, financial
management, leadership development, and various practical and technical aspects of becoming
a successful entrepreneur.
One of the highlights of the closing ceremony was the presentation of business ideas by the
participants. The trainees were divided into three groups and presented their innovative business
concepts before the distinguished guests. Following an evaluation of the presentations, one
business idea was selected and declared the winner.
Speaking at the event, the guests emphasized the importance of such training initiatives in
fostering entrepreneurial mindsets among university students, creating employment
opportunities, and promoting self-employment. They noted that developing educated youth into
successful entrepreneurs can significantly contribute to the country's economic growth and
industrial development.
The joint initiative of BSCIC and Jashore University of Science and Technology aims to nurture
future entrepreneurs, encourage innovative thinking among students, and support the creation
of sustainable employment opportunities in the years ahead.
