Funded by World Vision in Bandarban and the implementation of Grouse, a total cash financial assistance of 16 lakh 72 thousand taka has been provided to 209 beneficiaries of wards 1, 2 and 3 of the municipality at the rate of taka 8 thousand per person.
On Wednesday (August 12) in a function organized in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad, the financial assistance was provided to the beneficiaries through the mobile development app.
Honorable Member of Parliament of Bandarban 300 Parliamentary Constituency Saching Pru Jerry was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Bandarban Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Lutfar Rahman presided over the event.
Bandarban Press Club President Aminul Islam Bachchu, World Vision Bandarban Senior Manager Ashish Kumar Halder and Grouse Deputy Executive Director Chinmoy Murong, Bandarban Grouse Program Manager Tulu Marma were present as special guests. Sonia Afroze, program organizer of Grouse, moderated the program.
At this time, journalists, local residents of Ward No. 1, 2 and 3 of Bandarban Municipality were present.
The organizers said that this financial support program has been implemented to bring some relief in the life of disadvantaged and helpless families by providing necessary support.
