The results of the re-scrutiny and re-evaluation of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have been published, with 4,585 students who initially failed now passing.
Another 3,079 students have achieved GPA-5 following the review, while the results of many other students were changed in different subjects.
The results were published at 10am on Thursday (September 10) on the websites of all 11 education boards. Students were also notified via SMS on the mobile numbers provided in their applications. Results can also be checked through the official re-scrutiny portal, rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd.
The main SSC and equivalent examination results were published on August 10, while applications for re-scrutiny closed on August 17. The revised results were released 24 days after the application deadline.
A record 402,051 students applied for re-scrutiny this year. As candidates could apply for multiple subjects, a total of 1,287,926 answer scripts were submitted for review, including 1,056,455 written examination scripts and 231,471 practical examination scripts.
This year, the re-scrutiny process was changed. For the first time, answer scripts were not only checked for errors in totaling marks but were also re-evaluated, according to the chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman.
