A meeting was held at Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday to discuss reforms and modernisation of Ansar-VDP Development Bank, with a focus on making the institution more digital, efficient, accountable and customer-friendly.
The meeting, chaired by Financial Institutions Division Secretary Nazma Mubarek, brought together members of the bank’s board of directors. Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force and Chairman of the bank’s board, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, represented the bank.
A detailed presentation was made on the bank’s current activities, recent progress, challenges and future plans. Discussions focused on strengthening operations through technology and improving institutional capacity.
The secretary directed officials to address existing challenges while maintaining the bank’s recent performance and expanding investment in productive and promising sectors to create greater employment and financial opportunities for Ansar-VDP members.
