Ansar members on duty at Hatirjheel in Dhaka detained a 19-year-old man while he was allegedly attempting to commit a mugging on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 10:30pm on September 9 in the Rajuk Hatirjheel area under Hatirjheel Police Station. Hearing visitors scream, Ansar members led by APC Sheikh Russell quickly rushed to the spot and detained the suspect.
The detainee was identified as Nayan, 19, son of Mamun and a resident of the Mohakhali area under Tejgaon Police Station.
Ansar members Zaker Hossain and Tahim Molla were also on duty at the time.
