Dhaka University Rokeya Debate Forum has emerged as champion in the university category of the 11th Muhammad Shahidullah Memorial Debate Festival, while Zia Hall Debating Club became runner-up.
In the college category, RAJUK College Debating Club won the championship, with Millat Debating Club finishing as runner-up.
The three-day festival concluded on Saturday evening, September 5, 2026. The event was organised by the Dhaka University Dr Muhammad Shahidullah Hall Debating Club.
Dhaka University Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Mohammad Almozaddedi Alfechani attended the closing ceremony as chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
The programme was chaired by Shahidullah Hall Debating Club President Md Sabir Hossain. Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Dr Md Mofazzal Hossain and Shahidullah Hall Provost Professor Dr Md Aminul Islam Bhuiyan attended as special guests, while Professor Dr Tariq Manjur of the Department of Bangla delivered the keynote speech.
A total of 24 university teams and 16 college teams participated in the festival.
