Walton has won the ESG Excellence Awards-2026 in three categories in recognition of its contributions to workplace safety, climate action and sustainable product innovation.
The awards were organised jointly by the UN Global Compact Network Bangladesh (GCNB) and ESG Institute Bangladesh. Walton Hi-Tech Industries received honours in the categories of Excellence in Occupational Health and Safety Improvement, Excellence in Championing Climate Action, and Excellence in Sustainable Product Innovation.
The awards were presented at a ceremony at Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka on Saturday night. Walton Hi-Tech Additional Managing Director Md Yousuf Ali received the award crests from Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo.
Speaking on the occasion, Yousuf Ali said the recognition reflects Walton’s continued efforts to ensure a safe workplace, address climate change and develop sustainable products.
He said Walton has been adopting green technologies and environmentally friendly practices across its production processes, including the use of renewable energy to reduce carbon emissions. The company has also introduced technology-based safety systems and regular employee training to improve occupational health and workplace safety.
Walton has also focused on energy efficiency, green technologies and environmentally friendly materials in developing sustainable products.
The company said the awards would encourage further investment and initiatives in environmental protection, employee welfare and sustainable innovation.
