BSFIC Holds Training on Administrative Efficiency

 The Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) has organised a day-long training workshop aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, ensuring proper handling of legal matters, and raising officials’ awareness of government rules and regulations.

The workshop, titled “Case Management, Annual Confidential Report (ACR) Writing, Government Servants’ Conduct Rules, Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 2018 (Amended), and Office Management,” was formally inaugurated at 10:00am today on the ninth floor of the BSFIC Sugar Industry Building in Dhaka.

BSFIC Chairman Md Shamsuzzaman Suruj, the chief discussant, inaugurated the workshop.

Speaking as the chief guest, the chairman said knowledge of service rules, disciplinary regulations and office management is essential for officials of government and statutory organisations to ensure efficiency and transparency in administrative activities.

“Proper handling of cases and accurate evaluation through Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) play an important role in maintaining administrative discipline and transparency,” he said.

He expressed hope that the officials would be able to apply the knowledge gained from the training effectively in their respective workplaces.

Among others, Joint Secretary and BSFIC Director (Sugarcane Development and Research) Dr Abdul Alim Khan, Joint Secretary and Director (Production and Engineering) Mohammad Saeed-ur-Rahman, Joint Secretary and Director (Finance) Tahmina Akter, Director (Commercial) Azharul Islam, Secretary Mohammad Mujibur Rahman, heads of different departments and senior officials of BSFIC attended the inaugural session.

A total of 30 BSFIC officials participated in the day-long workshop. Expert trainers discussed practical aspects of the Government Servants’ Conduct Rules, updated application of the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 2018 (Amended), official document management and case handling.
