Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) held a reception at its headquarters on Monday to mark the appointment of Md. Saifullah Russell as the force’s new Additional Director General.
Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC, and Additional Director General Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid, NDC, PSC, presented Russell with his new rank badges and extended floral greetings.
In his speech, the Director General congratulated Russell on his promotion, praising his long-standing dedication, professionalism and organizational commitment. He expressed hope that Russell would use his experience to strengthen the force’s capabilities and contribute to the welfare of its members.
The Director General also emphasized the importance of modernizing and enhancing training at the Ansar-VDP Academy to help develop the force into a larger and more professional paramilitary organization.
Senior officials from Ansar-VDP headquarters, zone commanders, district commandants and invited guests attended the ceremony.
