Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force has opened modern office buildings in two upazilas and officers’ residential facilities in six districts to strengthen its organisational capacity and improve working conditions.
Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmood inaugurated the newly built facilities through a video conference from the Ansar-VDP Academy in Safipur, Gazipur, on Saturday.
He said the new infrastructure was an important step toward strengthening the force’s institutional capacity and called for its proper use and maintenance.
The director general also stressed the importance of financial transparency, accountability, professional integrity and moral values in public service.
The new officers’ residences have been built in Chapainawabganj, Sirajganj, Jashore, Nilphamari, Kurigram and Lakshmipur. Modern three-storey foundation office buildings have also been constructed in Haripur of Thakurgaon and Dhunat of Bogura.
He expressed hope that the new facilities would make the force’s field-level services more efficient, organised and people-oriented.
