The 21st founding anniversary of Rapid Action Battalion-8 (RAB-8) was observed in Barishal on Saturday with a programme and luncheon.
Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) Commissioner Abu Raihan Mohammad Saleh and Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md Zulfikar Ali Haider attended the event held at noon.
RAB-8 Commander Commander Mohammad Shahadat Hossain welcomed the BMP commissioner and the range DIG with floral greetings.
Among others, Barishal RRF Commandant (Additional DIG) Md Abdus Salam Rimon, District Police Superintendent A.Z.M. Mostafizur Rahman, Range Office Superintendent of Police Kazi Md Shoaib, BMP Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Md Abdul Hannan, Deputy Commissioner (South) Sushanta Sarkar, Deputy Commissioner (North) Mohammad Imad Hossain and Deputy Commissioner (DB) Palash Kanti Nath were present.
Senior officials from RAB-8 and the police also attended the programme.
The BMP commissioner and range DIG conveyed their sincere greetings and congratulations to all members of RAB-8 on the force’s 21st anniversary.
