Rajshahi Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md Ashik Sayeed paid a courtesy call on newly appointed Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Md Yusuf Ali on Wednesday.
The meeting was held at the divisional commissioner's office in Rajshahi around 1:30pm.
At the beginning of the meeting, the two senior officials exchanged greetings and welcomed each other with flowers.
They discussed the overall situation in the division, law and order, public safety and other issues of mutual interest.
They also discussed strengthening coordination between the divisional administration and the Rajshahi Range Police to ensure better public services.
The officials stressed continued cooperation between the administration and police to maintain a normal and stable law-and-order situation.
Senior officials from the Rajshahi Range Police and the divisional administration were present at the meeting.
