The 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was celebrated in Lalmonirhat city and different upazilas with various programmes.
On Monday afternoon, Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu distributed tree saplings among students at the BNP office in Mission Mor. He later joined a procession and discussion meeting marking the anniversary.
Earlier, the BNP’s Aditmari upazila unit brought out a procession featuring traditional musical instruments and bullock and buffalo carts. Lalmonirhat-2 MP Rokon Uddin Babul took part in the procession.
Similar programmes were also held separately in Kaliganj, Hatibandha and Patgram upazilas to mark the party’s founding anniversary.
