An attempt to smuggle yaba into a factory in Sreepur, Gazipur, was foiled by Ansar members, who arrested a truck helper with four yaba tablets on Monday evening.
The incident took place at New Hope Feed Limited in the upazila, where Ansar personnel were deployed for security duty.
According to the authorities, Ansar member Md Kabir Hossain was on duty at the factory’s main gate around 6:30pm when an unidentified person suddenly threw a packet-wrapped object into the factory premises from the roadside and fled.

Ansar member Kabir Hossain and Platoon Commander Md Ramzan Ali noticed his suspicious behaviour and immediately approached him. A subsequent body search led to the recovery of four yaba tablets from his possession.
The detained Ashraful was later handed over to the factory authorities for necessary legal action.
