Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited (PBTL), being the principal borrower and corporate guarantor, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mehboob Chowdhury along with its guarantors, directors and other concerned parties, availed loan facilities from Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB).
Subsequently, due to default by PBTL in repayment of the outstanding loan liabilities, the Bank instituted Artha Rin Suit No. 521/2018 on 05.07.2018, claiming BDT 68,76,30,448.23.
After completion of the legal proceedings, the learned Artha Rin Court delivered judgment and decree in favour of the Bank on 13.05.2026. For realization and execution of the decretal amount, the Bank subsequently filed Artha Execution Case No. 810/2026 on 27.07.2026.
During the execution proceedings, the Bank filed a petition seeking issuance of Warrants of Arrest against the concerned Judgment Debtors. Upon hearing the said petition, the Court issued Warrants of Arrest against the following individuals:
1. Mr. Mehboob Chowdhury – Chief Executive Officer, Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited.
2. Mr. Md. Farikul Hasan – Acting Chief Financial Officer, Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited.
3. Mrs. Nasreen Khan – Director, Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited.
4. Mr. Md. Morshed Khan – Director, Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited.
5. Mr. Asghar Karim – Director, Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited.
