Housing and Public Works State Minister Ahmad Sohel Manzur MP laid the foundation stone for a modern building of Bandar Police Station under Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) on Wednesday morning.
BMP Commissioner Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh and Deputy Commissioner (South) Sushanta Sarkar were present at the event.
Later, the state minister and the BMP commissioner inspected the police station and reviewed its overall activities and existing infrastructure.
Officials said the new Metro Type-1 building is expected to improve facilities for police personnel and create a better environment for people seeking police services, while strengthening the station’s operational capacity.
