Rajputra Saching Pru Jerry MP, Minister of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, inaugurated two development works at a cost of Tk 1.61 million financed by Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board in Bandarban Sadar Upazila.
Among the works inaugurated on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, is the construction of Truau Amtali Para bridge and road in Sadar Upazila at a cost of Tk 1 crore 13 lakh. Construction of RCC road in Dolupara at a cost of 47 lakh taka.
In the inauguration ceremony, Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Minister Sachingpru Jerry said that the government is continuously working to improve the quality of life of the people in the hill town and modernize the communication system.
The minister also said that importance is being given to the construction and development of necessary infrastructure including roads, bridges, culverts to facilitate the movement of people in remote areas. Through the implementation of these projects, the long-term suffering of the local people will be reduced and people's opportunities will increase in various fields including agriculture, trade and education.

Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Sadar Upazila BNP senior leader Ayub Member, Md. Jasim Member, leaders and activists, print and electronic media journalists were present.
