Professor Dr Md Nurul Amin of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Dhaka (DU) has been appointed acting dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ABM Obaidul Islam appointed him on Monday (October 12, 2026), under Section 17(2) of the First Statutes of the Dhaka University Order, 1973.
His appointment will take effect from October 13 and remain in force for up to 90 days or until the elected dean assumes office, whichever occurs earlier.
