Tangail Correspondent: A rally and a demonstration program were held in Tangail on Wednesday to mark World Handwashing Day, organized by the district administration and the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE).
A colorful rally started from the premises of Tangail Collectorate School and College in the morning. It passed through important streets of the town and ended in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Selim Miah, DPHE Executive Engineer Raisul Islam, Principal of Major General Mahmudul Hasan Adarsha College Aminul Islam, Principal of Tangail Collectorate School and College Abdul Bached, and Head teacher of Bindu Basini Government Boys' High School Mohammad Tofazzal Hossain. Government officials, teachers and students from various institutions also attended.
The handwashing demonstration featured detailed discussions on different aspects of proper handwashing.
