The Islamic University of Technology (IUT), an organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), hosted the "IUT Excellence Awards 2026" at its Gazipur campus on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The event served to recognize outstanding contributions to academic excellence and research.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milan, MP, the Honorable Education Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, who attended as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the national commitment to enhancing quality in higher education and fostering innovation.

During his address, the Education Minister praised IUT’s consistent track record in producing high-quality graduates. IUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, who presided over the ceremony, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest and congratulated the awardees.
