The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the retail price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), setting the new price of a 12kg cylinder at Tk 1,528, down from Tk 1,885.
BERC announced the revised prices on Thursday (July 2), stating that the new rates will come into effect from this evening.
The commission also lowered the price of autogas to Tk 70.40 per litre, from the previous Tk 86.93 per litre.
The latest revision marks a significant reduction in LPG prices. Previously, on June 2, BERC had reduced the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder from Tk 1,940 to Tk 1,885. At the same time, the price of autogas was lowered from Tk 89.50 to Tk 86.93 per litre.
BERC adjusts LPG and autogas prices every month based on fluctuations in international market prices and other relevant factors.
