The ‘Clean Care’ Digital Waste Management System of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has been inaugurated to make the city cleanliness activities more modern, transparent, accountable and technology-based. DSCC Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Md. Abdus Salam was present as the chief guest at a function organized at Nagar Bhaban Auditorium today and formally inaugurated the app.

Through this app, city residents will be able to directly report any complaints related to cleanliness and waste management. At the same time, they will have the opportunity to track or monitor the progress of complaint resolution, the name and mobile number of the responsible officer live on the app. In addition, citizens will also be able to express their satisfaction with the action taken against the complaint. To get the service, you have to download the ‘Clean Care’ app from the Google Play Store and sign-in with your mobile number.
In his speech as the chief guest, Administrator Veteran Freedom Fighter Md. Abdus Salam said, “There is no alternative to a technology-based service system to build a modern and livable city. The developed cities of the world today are managing waste management based on artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics. Keeping that reality in mind, Dhaka South City Corporation has launched the ‘Clean Care’ digital waste management system to make city cleaning activities more efficient, transparent and timely.”

He further said, “By analyzing the information received through this digital system, it will be possible to make informed decisions by determining which areas are generating more waste and where additional manpower or vehicles are needed. As a result, waste collection, transportation and disposal activities will be more integrated, effective and cost-effective.”

The administrator called upon the city dwellers and said, “Citizen participation is very important in implementing the theme of ‘Clean City, Conscious Life’. The ‘Clean Care’ app will act as an effective digital bridge between citizens and the City Corporation.”

With the launch of the Digital Waste Management System, it will be possible to monitor, coordinate and evaluate each step of waste management more efficiently. This technology-based platform will improve the quality, transparency and speed of citizen services, which will play an important role in building a clean, healthy and smart Dhaka. The program was presided over by DSCC Chief Waste Management Officer Air Commodore Md. Mahbubur Rahman Talukder.
