A massive fire that broke out at a warehouse in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ) early Wednesday morning was successfully brought under control, preventing a major disaster thanks to a swift, joint rescue operation led by on-duty Ansar members.

The fire started around 4:00 AM at the warehouse of Ananta Apparels, reportedly triggered by an electrical short circuit.

Members of the Bangladesh Ansar stationed at the EPZ were the first to react to the emergency. Under the leadership of Camp Incharge PC Md. Shahin Sarkar, a dedicated team of 14 to 15 personnel including APC Alamgir and Ansar members Shanto, Monjurul, Rasel, Azad, Mostak, and Rofiqul immediately rushed to the spot. They risked their lives to initiate primary firefighting measures before backup arrived.

Multiple units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence soon joined the scene. The Ansar members worked shoulder-to-shoulder with the firefighters in a grueling, hours-long operation. The combined team finally brought the fire completely under control at around 11:00 AM.
The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and local EPZ management expressed their deep gratitude and praised the Ansar team's rapid mobilization, courage, and professionalism, which saved nearby factories and assets from catastrophic damage.
This incident stands as another testament to the unwavering dedication of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP in protecting national assets during times of crisis.
