The Kaliakair Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital, in association with the Kaliakair Animal Health Representative Association, organized a farewell and reception program for the outgoing and newly appointed Upazila Livestock Officers.
Outgoing Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman was accorded a farewell, while newly appointed Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Didarul Ahsan was formally welcomed with flowers.
The program was held on Tuesday at the office of the Upazila Livestock Department. It was chaired by Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Md. Mamunur Rahman (Mamun) and moderated by Jasim Uddin, Senior Marketing Officer of Gentry Pharmaceuticals Limited.
Among the speakers were outgoing Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, newly appointed Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Didarul Ahsan, and Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Md. Mamunur Rahman.
Officials and employees of the Livestock Department, along with representatives of pharmaceutical companies, also attended the program.
Speakers praised Dr. Mizanur Rahman's professionalism, integrity and dedication, saying he played a significant role in developing the livestock sector in the upazila, improving services for farmers and promoting modern livestock farming. They said his sincerity and humane approach would be remembered for years.
At the end of the program, the outgoing officer was presented with a commemorative crest, a plaque and bouquets of flowers, while the newly appointed officer received a floral welcome.
The event also included farewell receptions and crests for four officials of the Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP): Dr. Sangeeta Saha (Livestock Extension Officer), Mohammad Rakibul Islam, Md. Enamul Haque, and Mohammad Milon Hossain. Participants wished the outgoing officials success in their future careers and expressed their best wishes for the newly appointed officer in his new role.
