A team from United International University (UIU) has won the Champion title in the Project Segment of the IUT National Techathon & Rover Summit 2026, showcasing an advanced autonomous navigation system.
Team TORONGO DHARA secured the top position with KRYPTON, a fully autonomous navigation system developed using Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) optimization and near-optimal path planning technologies.
The competition featured more than 50 teams from universities across Bangladesh, with only 10 teams advancing to the final round. In addition to the championship-winning performance by Team TORONGO DHARA, two other UIU teams URO Bangladesh and Team LuminaArc also earned places among the top 10 finalists.
The achievement highlights UIU's growing strength in robotics, autonomous systems, and engineering innovation, reinforcing the university's position as one of the country's leading institutions in technology-focused competitions.
