The detainee was identified as **Sudhangshu Mondal, 38**. He was later handed over to police for legal action.

He allegedly approached admitted patients with promises of better treatment at private clinics and collected blood samples for tests outside the hospital.

When questioned, Sudhangshu reportedly attempted to influence the Ansar member by claiming connections with several political leaders. After being asked to leave the ward, he allegedly threatened the Ansar member.

Patrolling Ansar members Md Kashem Mia and Md Al Amin subsequently detained him and took him to the hospital administration.

During preliminary questioning, Sudhangshu allegedly admitted to collecting patients’ blood samples for testing at private clinics in exchange for higher fees.

Ansar members recovered **50 blood collection tubes, 12 urine pots, seven urine CS containers, 21 syringes and five butterfly needles** from his possession.
