Two Ansar members on duty at Companiganj Upazila Health Complex in Noakhali rescued a five-year-old boy who went missing from the hospital premises on Wednesday.

The child, identified as Ashraful Islam Shawon, was reportedly separated from his mother amid the busy and crowded environment of the government hospital.

APC Dhrubajyoti Chakma and Ansar member Hasan Sharif, who were conducting patrol duty on the third floor of the hospital's main building, immediately launched a search after receiving the information.

They searched different parts of the hospital and successfully located the child within a short time through their prompt and professional efforts.

Following verification in the presence of hospital authorities, Shawon was handed back to his mother. Overcome with emotion, the mother expressed her gratitude to the Ansar members for safely returning her child.

The incident has been praised as an example of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party's responsible and humanitarian role. Ansar members deployed at government hospitals across the country perform round-the-clock security and law-and-order duties while also assisting people in times of need.
