Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Prof. Dr Mohammad Shatar bin Sabran paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam today September 15, 2026 at the latter’s office of the university. He was accompanied by Mr. Abdul Saman bin Taip, Director of MQA Training Centre.
Chairman of Bangladesh Accreditation Council Prof. Dr. Md. Akhter Hossain Khan was present on this occasion.
During the meeting they stressed the need for strengthening academic and research collaboration among Dhaka University and different universities in Malaysia. They also discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative programs between Bangladesh and Malaysia in the fields of higher education and research. CEO of MQA expressed his willingness to work with Dhaka University and Bangladesh Accreditation Council to enhance the quality of higher education and research in Bangladesh.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
