A reception and exchange meeting was held for the Minister of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh at the initiative of Bandarban Business Union Council.
The meeting was held at Bandarban Sadar Upazila Parishad's Upazila Conference Hall on Wednesday (September 23) at 3 pm.
Hon'ble Minister of Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Ministry Rajputra Saching Pru Jerry MP was present as the chief guest in the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban was present as a special guest. Saniul Ferdous, Superintendent of Police. Ohabul Islam Khandkar, Municipal Administrator of Bandarban Municipality SM Manjurul Haque, Bandarban Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Marufa Sultana Khan Hiramani, Senior Joint Convenor of Bandarban District BNP Professor Osman Gani, Member of Bandarban Hill District Council and District BNP Joint Convener Abdul Mamud were also present as honored guests. Alam, Leader of Businessmen's Unity Council, Abu Bakkar, General Secretary of Restaurant Owners Association, Md. Nurul Alam, Leader of Transport Association, gave speeches at the meeting. Journalists from print and electronic media attended the meeting.
In the meeting, various issues including the problems of traders, business environment and development of local business community were discussed. At this time, the speakers emphasized on mutual cooperation and coordination between businessmen and administration.
Note,Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Satching Pru Jerry held the first exchange meeting with the business community in Bandarban after assuming office.
