Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) held a farewell reception on Wednesday for two assistant police commissioners transferred to new assignments and another officer retiring from service.
The reception, organised under the theme “We Cherish the Memories of Working Together,” was held at the BMP headquarters conference room.
Assistant Police Commissioners Sushanta Majumder and Ratan Chandra Karmakar were honoured on the occasion of their transfers, while Assistant Police Commissioner Md Mahabubur Rahman was given a farewell on the occasion of his retirement.
BMP Commissioner Abu Rayhan Muhammad Saleh presided over the programme.
On behalf of the BMP, the outgoing officers were presented with commemorative crests and floral greetings. The speakers wished them continued success in their personal and professional lives.
BMP Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Md Abdul Hannan, Deputy Commissioner (South) Sushanta Sarkar, Deputy Commissioner (DB) Palash Kanti Nath, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sharmin Sultana Rakhi and other senior police officials attended the programme.
