If you do not enter Saudi Arabia within one month from the date of issuance of the Umrah visa, the visa will lose its validity after 30 days. Previously, this period was three months. However, the validity period of Hajj pilgrims after entering Saudi Arabia remains unchanged at three months, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said.

The number of Umrah visas issued since the start of the new Umrah season in early June has exceeded four million. This year's Umrah season has set a record in the number of foreign Umrah pilgrims in just five months compared to the previous season. The ministry has made some amendments to the Umrah visas in this regard. Ahmed Bajayefar, advisor to the National Committee for Umrah and Visits, said that the decision is part of the ministry's preparation for the expected increase in Umrah pilgrims, especially after the end of summer and the decrease in temperatures in Makkah and Madina. The aim is to prevent crowds in the two holy cities.
