Various organizations of Bangladesh community paid tribute. A short discussion meeting was held on the occasion of Victory Day. Consul Mehbub Zaman, (HOC) Consulate, Hosted the meeting. At the beginning of the discussion meeting, the senior officials of the consulate read the message of the President and Chief Advisor given on the occasion of the day.
At the end of the discussion, a special prayer was offered for the happiness and prosperity of the country, including praying for the martyrs, injured freedom fighters and those who were killed and injured in the July uprising in the Great War of Liberation.
Consul General Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain spoke at the Bangladesh Consulate in Jeddah congratulating the Victory Day of expatriate Bangladeshis living in the western part of Saudi Arabia in the meeting. He emphasized on the love of the new generation living abroad, knowing the correct history of the great liberation war.
He urged the Bangladeshis living in Saudi Arabia to follow the law and order of the country. Apart from this, he assured all cooperation in voting through postal ballots for the first time in the 13th National parliament elections to be held on February 12.
In the afternoon, the second part of the program cultural functions was held on the occasion of the celebration of the Great Victory Day. Expatriate artists participated in it. At this time, the Consul General distributed prizes among the winners of the badminton tournament and painting competition organized on the occasion of Victory Day.
