Standard Islami Bank PLC inaugurated its Hajj booth at Ashkona Hajj Camp in Dhaka on 19 April 2026 to provide various services to Hajj pilgrims for this year. The booth was formally inaugurated by Acting Managing Director of the bank Md Siddiqur Rahman. Director (Hajj) of the Hajj Office under the Ministry of Religious Affairs Md Lokman Hossain attended the ceremony as special guest. Through the booth, Hajj pilgrims will receive free passport endorsement, foreign currency exchange and Hajj information services. Among others present at the ceremony were EVP and Head of Investment Risk Management Division Md Iqbal, Head of SME, Retail and Agriculture Banking Division Md Amzad Hossain Fakir, Head of GSD (acting) Major Ahmed Mustafa Syrus (retd), Head of Shariah Secretariat Division K M Rahmatullah, Head of Brand Communications and Corporate Affairs Sohel A Rahmani, Head of Uttara Model Town Branch Mohammad Khaled Hossain, Head of Ashkona Branch Shahnur Md Oliul Hasan, along with other officials of the bank. After the inauguration, the bank handed over gift packages containing necessary Hajj items to pilgrims.
