The Sports, Culture and Welfare Council of the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (REB) staged the play "Alor Michhile Bhalobasha" at the board's auditorium on 20 April 2026. According to a press release, the play was staged at the Brigadier Sabih Uddin Ahmed Auditorium on the REB premises. The play was written and directed by REB employee Mosharraf Hossain Maruf. Set against a rural backdrop, the production portrayed how customer-friendly service can be ensured through coordination between REB and the palli bidyut samities. The lead character was presented as an ideal lineman of a palli bidyut samity, reflecting the importance of dedicated and people-oriented service at the field level.
A special child character was played by Maruf's son, Abdullah Yamin, whose performance conveyed important warning messages for REB and the palli bidyut samities.
The story also highlighted how certain vested groups attempt to tarnish the image of REB and the palli bidyut samities by misleading customers and taking money in the name of electricity services.
