Local residents in Nandigram, Bogura, have expressed anger after access to a school was blocked by a fence. Despite the obstruction created using bamboo poles and netting, the upazila administration has yet to take action. As a result, many students have been unable to attend school, causing concern among teachers and guardians. According to reports, the entrance road to Dhundar Public Model School in the Hindupara area of Burail Union has been blocked by the family of Tofazzal Hossain.
The road was fenced off last Tuesday using bamboo poles and netting. School authorities said teachers, students, and local residents have used the road for years. The sudden closure has caused severe hardship, with many students returning home after reaching near the school. Regular academic activities are being disrupted. However, landowner Tofazzal Hossain claimed the land belongs to his family. "We allowed people to use it for years, but now we have decided not to," he said. Attempts to contact Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sharmin Ara were unsuccessful, as she did not respond to calls on her official mobile number.
