1 lakh 69 thousand 408 children will be given measles-rubella vaccination in 8 upazilas of Barisal district, said Civil Surgeon Dr. SM Manjur-e-Elahi. In addition, Bakerganj and Mehendiganj upazilas have been identified as risky. This vaccination program will be conducted at various centers in the district at the scheduled time and this vaccination will be given to children of a specific age group. Guardians are urged to play an aware and cooperative role in this regard.
On April 23, a press conference was held at the meeting room of the Civil Surgeon Office on the occasion of the Measles and Rubella Prevention Campaign-2026, organized by the Barisal Civil Surgeon Office and in collaboration with the World Health Organization.
