Md. Sakhawat Hossain has been appointed as the new secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. He is working as the additional secretary of the ministry. This information was given in a notification signed by Jeti Pru, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.
Sakhawat Hossain is an officer of the 15th batch of the BCS administration cadre. Earlier, he worked as the additional secretary of the same ministry, the Ministry of Religion, Dhaka South City Corporation, Narayanganj City Corporation, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Natore, and Executive Officer of Chaugachha Upazila of Jessore. Along with his job, this officer has published fifty books of articles, poetry, novels, rhymes and poems.
Sakhawat Hossain is the father of a daughter and a son. Daughter Sanemun Fatema Camelia is working as a lecturer at Dhaka University.
