Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) distributed approximately 2,500 raincoats to its cleanliness workers today at Gulshan Nagar Bhaban to ensure sanitation services continue uninterrupted during the upcoming monsoon season.
DNCC Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan, attending as chief guest, praised the workers for their tireless efforts in maintaining city hygiene. He highlighted the distribution as part of an ongoing welfare initiative that has previously provided:
Winter clothing, Safety masks, Gumboots.
"We have a responsibility towards you and remain committed to your welfare," Khan stated, noting that the initiative aims to support those who work from the early hours to keep the city livable. Speakers at the event emphasized that a clean Dhaka requires both worker safety and public cooperation.
