Janata Bank launches entrepreneur development training

A one-month Entrepreneur Development Training course has been launched at Janata Bank Staff College in Dhaka under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance with financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The training programme is being conducted under the overall supervision of the SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank. A total of 25 entrepreneurs are participating in the latest batch (Batch 60/2026), which aims to enhance entrepreneurial skills and strengthen the capacity of small and medium enterprises.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Md Masum Billah, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and Programme Director of the course; Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank and Deputy Programme Director; S. M. Shariful Islam, Deputy General Manager of the SME Department of Janata Bank; and the Deputy General Manager and In-Charge of Janata Bank Staff College, along with other senior executives and faculty members.
The programme is designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and business management skills, contributing to entrepreneurship development and the growth of the country's SME sector.
